Split

Split PDF by page range — no upload

Add one PDF, define page ranges, and export new files — all processed locally.

Split chapters, invoices, or appendix pages without sending the document to a cloud converter. PDFCraftify reads your PDF in the browser and writes new files you download directly.

Split vs extract pages

Use Split when you know page numbers (for example, pages 1–10 and 11–20). Use Extract / Remove when you want to pick pages visually from a thumbnail grid.

Both tools run locally. Neither uploads your PDF to PDFCraftify servers.

Split supports multiple ranges in one job — useful when a single download contains several logical documents back-to-back.

Privacy and sensitive documents

Sensitive PDFs — payroll, legal discovery, student records — should not sit on a stranger's server while you wait for a download link. Local splitting keeps the file on your machine for the whole job.

Regulated industries often prefer on-device processing because it reduces data-transfer scope. PDFCraftify split is a practical option when policy discourages cloud upload.

Page range examples

Split pages 1–2 (cover) from 3–50 (content) before sharing only the body with a teammate.

A 100-page scan with ten invoices at ten pages each — ten ranges, ten downloads for AP.

Course pack: split weekly readings by syllabus page numbers instead of emailing the full 400-page file.

Export options

Export as separate PDFs when each range goes to a different person or ticket system.

Export as one combined file when you only need a subset contiguous in the original (for example pages 20–35 as a single excerpt).

Re-split if ranges overlap by mistake — work from a fresh copy of the source PDF to avoid confusion.

Verify no upload

Watch the Network tab while splitting: there should be no multipart upload of your PDF to PDFCraftify.

Optional offline test after the page loads: disconnect and split a small file to confirm processing stays in the browser.

Limits

Very large PDFs may take longer or fail on low-memory devices. Use desktop Chrome or split in stages.

Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first. Split cannot read password-locked content the browser cannot open.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload the PDF you want to split.
  2. Enter page ranges for each section you need.
  3. Choose to export as one file or separate files.
  4. Download your split PDF results.
